Ready to take the next step in your career by combining technical expertise, leadership, and customer focus in a key role? We are now looking for an engaged and driven Workshop Foreman who wants to help develop our accident repair workshop in Ås alongside an experienced and cohesive team.
About the role of Workshop Foreman
As a Workshop Foreman at Berners Heavy Vehicles in Ås, you play a central role in daily operations. You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on the workshop's work to ensure high quality, profitability, and satisfied customers.
You will serve as a vital link between customers, workshop staff, and administration, leading and developing daily operations together with the site manager.
The role involves receiving and planning incoming jobs, calculating damage costs, coordinating resources, and ensuring the right materials are available at the right time. You will also actively contribute to developing work methods, creating efficient workflows, and supporting employees in their daily tasks.
Your main responsibilities
- Damage calculation using Cabas
- Planning, booking, and follow-up of workshop jobs
- Allocating jobs to the right technicians based on competence and capacity
- Ensuring materials and spare parts are ordered in good time
- Leading and supporting technicians in their daily work
- Monitoring quality, delivery times, and customer satisfaction
- Contributing to business development and creating efficient work processes
We are looking for someone who
- Has documented experience in accident repairs, preferably within heavy vehicles
- Has excellent knowledge and experience working with Cabas
- Has good technical understanding and knowledge of damage processes
- Is structured, responsible, and solution-oriented
- Thrives in planning, coordinating, and bringing order to operations
- Has strong communication skills and works well in a team
- Has experience leading, coaching, or supervising employees
- Wants to develop in a leadership role and contribute to the company's continued success

About Berners Heavy Vehicles in Ås
Berners acquired Stefans Buss and Bilplåt in 2021, offering body repairs and painting, with a core competence primarily in heavy vehicles, especially buses. Stefans Buss & Bilplåt was founded in 1992 and has over the years repaired everything from helicopters and ambulances to buses and heavy trucks. Since day one, the focus has been on quality repairs and satisfied customers. We live by our reputation and therefore value all customers, big or small. With 28 years of industry experience, we continue our push for further development. For several years, we have had a modern, newly built workshop in Åsbacken, fully adapted to our operations and featuring a full-size paint booth.

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 06:45–15:45, Friday 06:45–13:45
